Educational Qualification

• Class 10th / Matric Pass
• Minimum 45% marks in aggregate of five subjects and 33% marks in each subject
• Indian Gorkhas: Class 10th simple pass
• Candidates appearing in Class 10th exam are also eligible (final selection subject to marksheet verification)

Age Limit (As on Joining Date)

• Minimum Age: 17½ Years
• Maximum Age: 22 Years
• DOB Eligibility: Born between 01 July 2005 to 01 July 2009
• Age Relaxation:
  • Widows of Defence Personnel: Up to 30 years

Physical Standards

Height

• Minimum Height: 162 cm
• Height Relaxation: 4 cm for specified regions (Gorkhas, North-East, Garhwalis, Ladakhis, Tribals)

Chest

• Expansion: Minimum 5 cm

Weight

• As per BMI chart notified by Indian Army (height-wise weight standards applicable)
